Awards
2025 ABC Excellence in Construction, Specialty Projects Award
In November, Fleming was awarded the 2025 Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Award in the Specialty Projects category. This award recognized our work on the Switch RNO NAP 03 data center facility in Reno, Nevada—a project that marks a defining milestone in Fleming’s expanding presence in the data center sector. With a 390,000-square-foot footprint and an ambitious 1.17-million-square-foot triple-redundant roof system, this build demanded nothing short of excellence from start to finish.
Butler Western Region Outstanding Builder
In March, Fleming Construction was honored at the 2024 Butler Manufacturing Awards as Western Region Outstanding Builder. This award was based on the diversity of our sales volume through the implementation of Butler products, including LogistX, multiple reroof projects, and heavy structures, in addition to our traditional PEMB projects.
The honor also acknowledges our collaborations as erection partner with other Butler Builders, including our work with VanHoose Construction on their 1.5 million-square-foot project for Locke Supply.
Additionally, Fleming was recognized for reaching $180 million in cumulative Butler sales, a milestone made possible by the hard work of the Fleming team on projects in 41 states. This recognition demonstrates Fleming’s longstanding relationship with Butler through thick and thin, and our commitment to delivering quality buildings to our clients.
Fleming Steel Erectors Ranked #2 in MCN’s 2025 Top Metal Builders List
In 2025, Fleming Steel Erectors moved up again in Metal Construction News’ annual ranking of US Top Metal Building Erectors to be crowned the second-largest metal building erector in the US by square footage and the third-largest metal building erector by tonnage.
This is FSE’s highest ranking to date, and we are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts. This ranking is a direct result and reflection of the work of our incredible team, our culture, and the valued relationships we have developed with leading general contractors across the US.
Fleming Moves Up to Number 10 in Oklahoma on the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies
The Inc. 5000 list is the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. With three-year revenue growth of 339 percent, this marks Fleming’s second consecutive year on the list.

Accreditations
Fleming Steel Erectors, a Division of Fleming Construction Group, is the First Company in Oklahoma to Attain AC478 Accreditation
In 2025, Fleming Steel Erectors attained AC478 Accreditation – a standard administered by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) and promoted by the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) that recognizes metal building assemblers who maintain a demonstrated commitment to excellence. FSE is the first metal building assembler based in Oklahoma to obtain the prestigious AC478 accreditation, and one of fewer than 25 companies nationwide.
The MBCEA recognizes AC478 as “the most comprehensive quality assurance accreditation of its kind for metal building assembly.” Achieving this accreditation confirms that Fleming has the personnel, organizational skills, experience, knowledge, management procedures, and commitment to assembling metal buildings in accordance with codes, specifications, costs and deadlines. Requirements for this accreditation include documented management systems, rigorous safety training, quality managers, OSHA training, documented safety plans, site-specific plans, and other documentation. AC478 accredited companies are also subjected to annual internal audits and management reviews.
Fleming 8760’s Allen Craig Earns Certification as a Haag Inspector for Commercial Roofs
As a Haag Certified Inspector for commercial roofs, Allen’s training allows him to assess damage and determine the necessary maintenance for almost all commercial roofing systems. This expertise allows Fleming 8760 to deliver another layer of service to our clients that will help them take the best care of their buildings now and over the long term.

In Memoriam
Ora Nation
The Rainwater Construction Company suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of longtime team member and friend, Ora Nation on December 26, 2025. Ora’s career was so deeply woven into the history of Rainwater that it’s impossible to tell the company’s story without telling his. Ora joined Rainwater at 18 and dedicated an extraordinary 67 years to the company’s mission, building not just structures but a legacy of craftsmanship, leadership, and loyalty.
Rising from the field to lead steel erection and concrete crews, then into management and ultimately serving as a trusted building consultant in sales, Ora brought a calm presence, deep institutional knowledge, and unwavering work ethic to every role he held. Known for his steady character and quiet strength, he worked with passion and purpose, embodying the values that have defined Rainwater for generations—commitment, integrity, and pride in a job done right.
His career stands as a rare and powerful testament to what lifelong dedication looks like, and his impact will continue to shape the company long into the future.

Fleming Transitions to ESOP
In 2025, Fleming took a major step toward beginning its transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), with completion planned for 2026. By giving team members an ownership stake in the company, Fleming is reinforcing what has always set us apart—an organization built on trust, shared success, and the belief that the people behind the work should also share in its rewards.
Team Member Spotlight
The Fleming Construction Group launched a Values in Action social media series in 2025 spotlighting the ways Fleming team members embody our values and promote our culture in the office and in the field. Our first two profiles featured Fleming’s Safety Director Stephen Kirkbride and Kansas City Office Field Resource Coordinator Peggy Eubanks.
FCG Internship Program
The Fleming Construction Group’s internship program, helmed by chief estimator Clint Calvert, is designed to help students put their theoretical knowledge into practice in a way that is both measured and comprehensive.
By providing exposure to aspects of the field, including estimating, project management, and site work, Fleming interns are able to try their hands at a variety of roles. The program is multi-faceted by design, and developed to mirror Fleming’s mission of cultivating trust, talent and passion in its workforce. Operating in various roles helps students discern which aspects of the industry provide the ideal amount of challenge and fulfillment. This results in expertise, commitment, and excellence in output.
Shane Wingate was this season’s intern at our Tulsa, OK, offices. Upon graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in marketing and communications, Shane was offered a full-time job as project manager at Fleming, which he accepted.
Giving Back – Big Brothers Big Sisters
In May, the Fleming Construction Group was the headline sponsor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Noshville Tasty Eats & Cool Beats event in Tulsa. The event supports the mentorship and guidance efforts of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma.
