Amazon Sortation Facility

Category: Warehouse + Distribution
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Square Feet: 300K
Type: Ground Up New Construction

Working with Industrial Developers of Oklahoma (IDO), under expedited timelines and permitting, the Fleming Construction Group built Amazon’s 300K square foot Oklahoma City sortation facility in just eight months from ground breaking to certificate of occupancy. The project, executed with zero safety incidents, involved coordinated, on-site peak manpower of 91 individuals. With strict deadlines to complete construction in time for the building to be operational for the holiday shipping season, the roof was installed in just 10 weeks and the paving was successfully completed on a compressed schedule due to delays in city approval to move water lines.

Despite 50 rain days out of 240 total working days, Fleming completed the project on deadline and the building was operational in time to meet the holiday demand.
